2023 Australian Gymnastics Championships

From 6-13 May, Lukina L (Year 8), Zoe W (Year 7) and Jonas D (Year 7) represented NSW at the 2023 Australian Gymnastics Championships on the Gold Coast.

Lukina and Zoe performed beautifully on their first day of competition, helping the NSW Future International Team to a Silver.

Individually, Lukina was named National Champion in the Future International 14 and over division, placing 1st Overall. She also came away with a 1st on Bars, 1st on Beam, 6th on Floor and 15th on Vault in her age group.

Zoe faced some tough competition in the under 14 Future International division and came away with an amazing 7th Overall, with 6th on Bars, 6th on Beam, 9th on Vault and 7th on Floor.

Jonas D also had a fantastic competition, finishing 15th Overall and earning 4th place on Floor in the Level 7 Open Category.

We would like to congratulate Lukina, Zoe and Jonas on their outstanding achievements. Their results are a testament to their hard work, talent and passion for gymnastics. Ultimately what matters most is how you spend your time and who you spend it with, so a week for these gymnasts and their teammates on the Gold Coast, doing what they love and surrounding themselves with their favourite people was the best part of the experience!
